PERTH YOUTH BALLET 2025 The Essence of SLEEPING BEAUTY
Agreement means this Agreement
PERTH YOUTH BALLET (PYB), us, we, means Perth Youth Ballet, 4 Carbon Court, Osborne Park, WA 6019.
For all Students under the age of 18 years, all terms set out in this Agreement are the responsibility of the Parent and/or Guardian of the Student.
Auditions will be held on Sunday 6th April, at the listed times on Trybooking. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your session to warm up.
Regional dancers are invited to audition by video submission for the panel. Please email video submission to info@perthyouthballet.com along with your receipt from the PYB Regional Casting Audition timeslot on Trybooking. Video to include a plie, tendu and developpe exercise at the barre, and 30 seconds of a solo in classical, neoclassical, contemporary, or own choreography dance piece.
Please bring your headshot with name, age and date of birth on a colour photocopy. These will be retained for the purpose of casting; students will also be videoed for the purpose of casting.
Age of participants, Juniors 8-10 years with 3 or more years’ experience, Inters 11-12 years with 4 or more years’ experience, and Seniors 13 years or older with 5 or more years’ experience.
Please wear ballet dance attire and ballet shoes (standard ballet flats/pumps).
Dancers 13 years and older, those strong and confident on pointe, please bring pointe shoes.
The dancers will be photographed & filmed for promotional purposes on various on and offline platforms/materials
Successful dancers will be offered a place with Perth Youth Ballet, and will be advised by email within a couple of days, with rehearsals commencing the Saturday 26th April, 2025.
A scholarship will be offered to an outstanding dancer who attends the audition, and they will be notified within 48 hours. The scholarship is for the membership fee. Costume fees will still apply.
The email offer will come with your contract for signing, which will outline the membership fee. Members are required to contribute a fee of $720, covering rehearsals & technical training led by distinguished faculty. The membership fee also includes workshops, rehearsals, theatre , stage blocking, choreographic development, mentorship, management, administration, full time dancers an opportunity to be chosen for a solo, pas de deux, trio or quartet, and a PYB Member t-shirt. Full time ballet students 13 years + can choose option 2 participating in Classical and Neo-classical with a membership fee of $520.
Technical training is delivered and lead by our expert faculty.
Students selected as production soloists, or for pas de deux will be charged an additional $90 rehearsal fee, and trios or quartets a $70 rehearsal fee for private tuition by the faculty and must be available in the 2nd week of the July school holidays for this special showcased part. These performers will be notified of earlier/additional rehearsals where required, times will vary. Lessons will be at a time that suits the performer and the teacher during the holidays, it will include tuition with one of the leadership team.
Costumes, A small costume hire fee will be charged per costume, from approx. $40 per costume. And a tutu hire, fee dependant on hire rate, approx. $45 juniors and $60 seniors.
The auditions and rehearsals are held at Perth Youth Ballet Studios, 4 Carbon Court Osborne Park.
The rehearsal schedule is provided below, members must attend all rehearsals. An exception will apply for any members competing in the Comdance, RAD or QUEST competitions. All other members will still need to attend rehearsals. Our first rehearsal 26th April 2025 is for commencement of our Creative Phase
Regular rehearsal dates are listed below.
Inters 11-12 years and Seniors 13+ will do neoclassical, contemporary, lyrical and classical from 11am-4:30 pm, Juniors 8 -10 years will do contemporary, lyrical and classical 11am-3.30pm (approximately, times may vary).
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your class time to warm up. All dates, times and sessions provided within are a guide and subject to change.

No refunds will be provided for cancellation or for non-attendance.
By purchasing your booking for the audition, you and the participant agree to be bound by the above-mentioned terms & conditions and to receive information about the season, future events, notifications, updates & marketing communications
Our Relationship
This Agreement is between Vogue Performers and the Student (and where the Student is under the age of 18 years, the Parent/Guardian on behalf of the Student), is legally binding, and is governed by the laws of the state in which the Student attends classes.
Health of a Student
We accept Students on the assumption that they are in good health and fitness. It is your responsibility to notify Perth Youth Ballet of any medical complaint or history suffered by the Student that may prevent that Student from engaging in any physical or active or passive exercises or routine.
Perth Youth Ballet Instills a Code of Conduct
In line with state and federal legislation, Perth Youth Ballet instills a Code of Conduct to enhance the safety and positive culture of our studio. Bullying, intimidation, and behavior outside of our code of conduct will not be tolerated by our studio, to allow for a safe place for children, students, staff, and principals. The Director reserves the right to cancel enrolments at any time due to behaviors considered not in line with Perth Youth Ballet values.
