Perth Youth Ballet
Founded in 2021 moving into its fourth year, continuing the vision and artistry established by founders, Kevin Jackson and Leanna Del Basso in their premiere performance EMERGENCE.
Building with our talented faculty, into our 2022 production PROMINENCE and our recent 2023 company production, EMINENCE.
Uniting talented dancers in Western Australia, with the goal of providing students the opportunity for extended development with highly skilled, specialist teachers, working towards the company’s annual performance.
Enhancing the development of their technical skill, building confidence, professional production, performance and stage experience, developing alongside other children from rural and Perth based dance studios.
All sharing their love for this art form, making wonderful friends and supporting each other as they pursue their passion.
Our founders
Leanna Del Basso
I am thrilled that we are able to unite dancers and give them the opportunity to extend their technical & performance ability, through our annual productions. Children join us from brilliant dance schools from across our WA, where their dedicated and passionate teachers have developed their technique and knowledge of this art form.
Uniting at Perth Youth Ballet, dancers are able to extend their talent and valuable production experience under the direction of our specialist ballet teachers, working towards the companies professional performance.
Kevin Jackson
My heart has always been here, in Perth and after 20 years with the Australian Ballet, I had a strong desire to give back, to the place where it all began for me. My fondest memories from training in my childhood are those from performing with children from other dance schools, not in competitions or exams, but in productions alongside them. I am thrilled to have achieved this, in creating Perth Youth Ballet with Leanna Del Basso, formed for students of Western Australia to unite under one company to discover, practice and perform.
