Perth Youth Ballet X Ballet Without Borders
A partnership providing the opportunity to aspiring dancers to gain paid-for positions with Perth Youth Ballet.
Joining some of the biggest names in ballet, we have partnered with Ballet Without Borders, to provide a sponsorship position with Perth Youth Ballet.
This means that a child who has the talent and capability of performing in a professional ballet production, but may not have the financial means, will have the opportunity to do so.
In collaboration with Ballet Without Borders, we are thrilled to be bringing these opportunities to Western Australian dancers. Sponsorship placement positions will have their workshop or audition, membership and costume hire covered, seeing them free to follow their passion.
If you would like to express your interest in a sponsorship position, please complete this confidential form, and we will get in touch to determine when the next suitable position will be available. Noting the details you provide will remain strictly confidential.
Ballet Without Borders aim to create an impact in children's lives through the wonderful world of ballet, and are focused on making the joy of dance accessible to all children, no matter their background.

Founder, Katia Kullengren started Ballet Without Borders to enable children to participate in ballet education regardless of the social or economic constraints that they may face. With the belief that everyone should have a chance to reach their potential and to experience new things and ideas regardless of their financial circumstances.
Katia was born in Kiev, Ukraine , where she lived with her mother on welfare, while she retrained as a doctor.
During her childhood Katia found the joy of ballet, taking some classes, however due to lack of money, her poor English, continually moving around, and with little support for the art form, she was held back from dancing her dream.
Moving to Australia in 1993, and then as an adult, Katia was lucky enough to try again. Finally gaining the courage and financial resources to dance, Katia sat her Intermediate RAD Exam in October 2015.
Attending ballet classes later in life, Katia realised that most of the students were from the middle and upper-class families.
Knowing the amazing benefits of ballet, discipline, musicality, artistry and movement. Not to mention the increasingly important mental and physical training which can impact many areas of peoples lives. And quite simply the joy it brings, Katia wanted to make this possible for more people.
And thus, Ballet Without Borders was born.
